Tommy's Voice

Tommy's Voice is a nonprofit organization based in Scranton, PA that aims at allowing people with nonverbal Austism, to express themselves through art. The name "Tommy" is in honor of the first person whose art became the inspiration for this organization.

My impact

Task

Increase the local community's exposure to Tomy's Voice to drive donations that would fund the purchase of a new art studio for people with nonverbal autism.

Approach

Take advantage of Scranton's biggest annual event, La Festa Italiana, to promote Tommy's Voice as a local, trust-worthy, and life-changing nonprofit worthy of support.

Results

The projected results of this campaign are...

  • increased community awarness of Tommy's Voice.

  • increased financial support for the new art studio.

  • increased exposure for community members who could benefit from this organization.

Tommy's Voice

Nonprofit organization

The organization aimed for growth to help many more people through the power of art therapy. In this campaign, we were promoting the brand and its presence at the local event of the year: La Festa Italiana.

Our campaign aimed to increase knowledge of the foundation by reinforcing its presence in the community. Some of the messaging aims to sell Tommy's art so that the foundation can make money. Other messaging is centered around the local annual event in Scranton, La Festa Italiana. This is the quickest and cheapest way to reach locals from all the surrounding area at an event they already plan to attend every single year. Once the audience arrives to us, all that's left to do is tell the world who Tommy's Voice is and why they should buy the art they sell.

Billboard

To start, a billboard strategically positioned right at the entrance of Scranton in the Scranton-Carbondale Expressway, the route countless take every day to work. The challenge here was to get a message across in a sentence that can be read in six seconds or less (the average time a driver has to read a billboard). Constant reinforcement of the campaign messaging is key to bringing Tommy's Voice to the front of the mind.

Table top Ad

Next, we have a tabletop ad for restaurants participating in La Festa Italiana to put on their tables during the weeks leading up to the event. The back of the ad also has a QR code for easy access to the foundation's website.

Elevator Doors

Lastly, an elevator ad in the Steamtown Mall, the heart of shopping in downtown Scranton and the place most people park when attending La Festa Italiana. This elevator is conviniently the only elevator that goes to the parking lot.
